Been up since five only because Shadow my absolute shadow these days was right there the minute I turned in bed, find he is ready for the day more than hungry! Being a weekend I just might head back under the covers. How good not to contend with time change - but must check for the curling schedule to assure I don't miss at the finals today as today is the day for time change the rest of Canada.

Surprised to see we have a feels like minus 18 morning, especially since I have a 'garage day' planned which will make for a plant tidy and make more time with momma and baby as have to quietly put special enticing food in the evening meal to get them into the catio without alarming them. Tomorrow is their clinic day. So happy to report after the scares the baby has had with the help of Temptations tidbits he is allowing close up pets that have him purring. He is beautiful and think he will be a real love. He still needs a name, have several in mind for momma. I am thankful I found a home for the other baby. I will be full house for sure!
An early morning sees to a good start on the ten extra clutter busting rule I have been going with as well as a fridge clean for the veggies. There are great tasting Stuffed Peppers on a large baking sheet in the freezer ready to pop into food saver bags for freezer stash for future meals.

Temperatures have dipped to feels like minus 20, we had a snowy morning yesterday, hoping the roads are not super slick and icy. Getting Momma and Baby into the catio last night went very well, crossing my fingers getting them into the kennel goes smoothly. They settled in nicely and baby was purring. He loves the Temptations which made for a special treats this week. Be glad to have this done and have them introduced to the household.
Got my nicotianna and some veggies planted yesterday, getting the seed starter mix prepped, moisturized and into lidded containers ready to go makes a great start to the garden year. Have a good number of green onions that have I have saved the bottoms to plant, makes for month and months of greens to snip into salads and such. Must look for a couple containers today.

Had a wonderful time at the Ladies Spring Luncheon yesterday with Ella and her daughter in law Erin. Sat at a table with 4 other delightful women! The food was wonderful, lots of games to play for prizes etc. This event was the first in our area! And they are hoping to make it an annual event. So good to be around women!

Did you watch the Doxie video today Gerry? Chico does lay on the floor for belly rubs...but only when HE wants them. LOL

Great quote Gerry!

I agree...the photos and the stories did indeed touch my heart too! Just love that some people can overcome their fear and give a fur baby a good home!! Gives me the warm and fuzzies!!!
Dogs come when you call them, cats on the other hand take a message and get back to you...later!!! LOL
