Bergy has completed and enjoyed Derf's Balsamic Tomato Cucumber Salad
http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/balsam ... salad-8698

The tomatoes we are getting here now are not field crop we are still getting hothouse but the are from local hothouses so the tomatoes are vine ripened and loaded with flavour.

I sure enjoyed Shadow's Baked Garlic Asparagus. I can still get local asparagus so I will be making more recipes but I enjoyed this one so much I think I'll just keep repeating this one

Our local Farmers Market used to be wonderful. Fabulous veggies, home made perogies, Smoked meats, Fresh fish raised in a high mountain stream, baking, canned chutneys, even a curry shop that had the best sauces ever.
They moved their location, there isn't adequate parking and people wern't coming as much. They have now also out priced themselves. I used to go every Tuesday & Thursday - today was only the second time this year. It has gone down hill for sure. There are perhaps 4 veggie booths, one bake booth and a bunch of hobby, craft booths - so disappointing Here are some of the booths - just look at the prices!!!

Bergy , love the arrangement of the tomato/cuke/balsamic salad, beautifully presented :D wow those prices at your farmer's market would make me stay away  But lovely photos, thanks for showing us, the local strawberries here are almost as bad, it is too bad when they seem to price themselves right out of business.
love that asparagus recipe, delicious :!:

Bea, wow your photos are beautiful and colourful showing the the colours of spring and summer, love the presentation you did with the strawberries, gorgeous , want to put my nand right and take one :!:
