It's a super easy summer desser Derf. I try to keep an extra base or two in the freezer for weekend company during the summer months.

I had planned to make the strawberry dessert for the June forum, but our strawberries are just ripening this past week. Even at that had to use some market berrries for the torte ... the smaller ones are from our backyard garden. The berries are lush and lovely this year. :D

That they are Gerry!!! We went picking last week and they were just beautiful. A late season but such lush strawbs.... I froze most but did enjoy some of them with yogurt and a drizzle of agave nectar, yummy. I also have a strawberry vinegar brewing as we speak...........

I too saw that awesome looking torte on the home page. Great photos!!!!! That would definitely be a great pot-luck dessert!!

Here is a pic of the potluck I went to on Friday. I only got a few pics, because my camera was really acting stupid.
We had asparagus, coleslaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, lamb brats with wild rice, hamburgers, and fried fish. I wish I had a pic of all of it, but I stopped taking pics when I saw the crap my camera was doing......

Disssie I am only, in my mind, savouring all the lovely things you mentioned. Love your photos and I loved the sound of the lamb sausages

Here are two types of pickled eggs I bring often to pot-lucks. They always get gobbled up and are a great conversation piece because of the color.

Gerry this is a fantastic salad :!:
A wonderful crunchy salad, would be perfect for a potluck, I loved the sound of it but had no potluck to do it for so i cut it way back and made just a quarter of the recipe, so glad i did , we love it and will be making it through the summer and on :D
