The Countdown Continues ...

http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/moms-c ... cuits-3896 and peas on the side; or, maybe a salad. Depends what I feel like when it's dinner time.
Then, over to my friends catering to prep for a cocktail/light dinner tomorrow. Lots of stuff to make ahead, which will make tomorrow easy.

In the crock over night. I'll probably throw in some onion, celery, carrot; maybe a bay leaf; but, no herbs. Just let it go. Should be good freezer stash!

It's Getting Closer and Closer To That Magic Day! Santa Is Watching Our Every Move!
Today's Cooking ...
Since I cook for 3 ladies; tis the season for parties. So, it's a busy time of year; but, that's a good thing too.
And, I do have help. Tonight is served buffet style at my Ladies Clubhouse. So, just take some plates/flatware/linens, etc and the serving trays; and, the rest is all decorated. Makes it easy.
Light Dinner Party Lady #1 and Her Charity+Friends (30-35): Small plates - 3 snacks (http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/5-ingr ... hews-11206 http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/sweet-spicy-nuts-9681 https://hauteapplepie.com/2012/03/19/sp ... snack-mix/); 3 relish trays (mixed pickles, marinated vegetables, smoked salmon, pickled herring, olives, carrots/celery, crostini/crackers, cheese, etc); small crepes w/5 fillings (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alto ... ecipe.html) - shrimp and crab, mushroom, chicken, ratatouille, asparagus/cheese (we will fill the crepes per order); 4 salads (mixed greens, caprese, apple/pear/fennel, Greek couscous); Dessert - small berry and lemon tarts, shortbread cookies, and 2 other cookies (my friend is making dessert).
Actually prepped almost everything last night; so, not too much to do today.
Me: Grilled shrimp/veggie kabobs (squash/onion), just a simple herb seasoning - nothing special; tomato mozzarella salad; fruit - trying to avoid most carbs tonight.
