T.G.I.F. FELLOW COOKS!
PRAYERS TO THOSE WHO WENT THROUGH HURRICANE HERMINE; AND FOR THOSE IN HER PATH.

Today ...
Pretty easy for me. Still rainy, and soggy here; so, my Ladies Friday Card/Game night, they canceled.

Me, I planned 2 or 3 things; but, I may just take a plain cheese store bought pizza and jazz it up; side salad, and call it dinner.

I still want to make my new Tuscan Cauliflower soup today; but, I need 2 items. Maybe I'll run to the store and get that. I'm out of soup in the freezer, and always like to have some on hand.

Sounds tasty to me. It's Friday, rainy and wet ... I am going with the pizza, because it is easy, so no grilling.

IT'S SATURDAY! AND THE SUN IS FINALLY SHINING ..
Prayers for everyone to stay safe on the east coast!

Tonight, my friends are throwing me a party at a friends house. It's sort of a combination my belated b'day party and a Labor Day party. Any excuse for a party.
Oh, I don't have to cook a thing.
For the main 7 people who organized this; I am taking them a jar of my refrigerator pickles and a small container of my pub cheese as a little present.

The theme is POTLUCK favorites over the years.
- Meatballs w/grape jelly, BBQ little smokies, steamed shrimp, deviled eggs, veggie/cheese platters w/dips and crackers, spinach dip, velveeta rotel dip, 7 layer dip w/chips; chips/onion dip
- Baked ham/turkey w/rolls and condiments, cheesy sausage/peppers baked ziti, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, 3 bean salad, pasta salad, cheesy hash brown casserole, layered salad
- Strawberry pretzel jello, homemade ice cream, brownies, lemon bars

Otherwise, I have the night off from cooking. What is everyone else making?

Easy tonight. Just sausage sandwiches and some fresh silver queen corn on the cob from our local farmers market.

Corn is so good right now, it's hard not to have it.
