This worked out well for us -- just basic casserole, nothing special, but good.ellie wrote:My husband likes lima beans too - so I look for recipes that use dried or frozen lima beans sometimes. My son likes carrots - so this looks like an easy and good dinner.Kchurchill5 wrote:Let me know how that comes out. I LOVE lima beans; that looks so interesting. But, good too!!

Ladies #1 and #2: Chile rellenos soup (new recipe); chicken taquitos w/creamy avocado sour cream (new recipe); chili grilled shrimp; mango citrus greens salad
Me: Sort of cleaning out the fridge and freezer ... I have a small bag of chicken wings to bake or grill, leftover 3 bean salad, cucumber and tomatoes to use up - so a creamy cucumber salad; and, I have some homemade garlic bread sticks ... fruit too. So, I'm good

the soup sounds like something my daughter will love!Kchurchill5 wrote:Sounds tasty. Crock pots do come in handy now and then. My peppers are doing well too; I do mostly hot peppers.

The hot peppers did better than the bell peppers - still have some on the stalks.

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - OCTOBER 2015
Me, a simple Sat. Heading out to a pumpkin farm/craft fair w/friend and her kids. I'm sure there will be some pumpkin delights to enjoy and bring home. Last year I got some great pumpkin butter, pumpkin honey; and, enjoyed an pumpkin tea.
Dinner, ham steak with a mustard, maple glaze, the leftover mashed spuds I made the other night (they have potatoes, kraut, onion, and cheese - delish); and, I have a zucchini to use up. So, probably a mix of peas, lima beans, and zucchini.

We're doing mac n' cheese - a new recipe this one uses velvetta and evaporated milk.
