Well, I got about 3 hrs of yard work done today, thx to NO rain. Came in to take a shower before heading to the store and the faucet literally broke and fell right off. Not just unscrewed, but broke.

HOME DEPOT! Well, my friend that was over last night ... he asked me to fix his computer - well I did - minor issues, an easy fix. So, this time I bribed him to come over and help. I'm good with tile, but it looked like a pipe needed repair, so; I figured another set of eyes could help. After 3 trips to HD, tile, caulk, faucet, seals, etc. It is done. Not the way I planned my Sunday. A quick swim, and a bit of stuff to clean up. My friend had a tile saw which was needed, so a big help. It was not an easy job.

NO salad, NO tuna casserole. Instead, SOS Chipped Beef on toast, thx to Stouffers.

Three (3) things always in the freezer, 1 plain frozen pizza, 1 pkg of chipped beef, and also a Stouffers mac and cheese. They are emergency backups for me.

So, SOS is was (Shi* on a Shingle, aka chipped beef), melon for dessert. 5 minutes in the microwave and done.

I love SOS Kim. Sounds good. I make a tuna version and its awesome too.

We had tater tot hotdish. I posted the recipe, probably not available yet. I hadn't realized that I had never posted it. I was talking to my neighbor/coworker at like 2 pm today in her back yard. Her son was filling up his pool, he got us all wet and it was fun. Dogs were soaked too! (he is 2). Anyway, she said she was either making tater tot hotdish or bbq'd ribs. I am sort of bbq'd out, and tater tot hotdish sounded so good! SO I made it too. It was really good comfort food. Made a 9x13 pan and only had like maybe 2 servings left. Guess the guys missed it too. Son said, we haven't had this in forever! And honestly we haven't. Great supper! ;)

Classics like that are really good. I make SOS from scratch, but always have a box in the freezer. It was just easy, quick, and NO fuss after the shower fiasco.   I bet tuna would be really good.

Tater tots sound good to me, I have one posted too. I don't make it often; but now and then ... it is just good comfort food. :YMHUG:

Sounds like a good day for it. I do love gourmet food ... but sometimes, good old comfort food wins out. I did use sourdough bread ... does that make it gourmet =)) =)) =)) =))

Kim you made me snort!

I did see your recipe posted. I searched before I posted mine. I wanted to make sure we weren't bombarded with tater tot casserole/hotdish recipes. We aren't! There are only 3 now! My recipe was approved. Tater Tot Hotdish

Tonight will be fish and steamed veggies, bf will have a meal from the freezer (chicken & broccoli alfredo). Hoping to get some bread made today to serve with dinner as well. Hoping to use up a lot of flour.

Hot day here 93 with 95% humidity, high heat index today. But, we have had a nice breeze too.

Been a busy morning cooking. I usually cook for Lady #4 on Sunday, and deliver this am; but, I didn't have time yesterday; so, I have been up cooking since 5am to get everything done. I will be dropping everything off this am.

I am doing the ribs (at long last) since it finally quit raining and am having that with jerk bbq sauce and some Caribbean rice and peas. Also some sliced tomatoes and corn.

Took the easy way out tonight. We had a frozen on-cor pack of turkey in gravy, Image mashed potatoes and a box of stuffing and a salad. The on-cor freezer pack wont be bought again. It was like lunch meat in gravy. Seriously that thin. Just ridiculous. But it did the trick. We weren't hungry anymore. But honestly don't bother with this brands crap of turkey! I have bought their salisbury steak before and it wasn't too bad, so I figured, ok might be good for a quick dinner...NOT!
