I wish we had gone to a place on the East side but it was sort of far.
Not sure what is up for today and since I don't have anything defrosted I've sort of corned myself. Maybe some salads.

Hey burgers are always good. Throw some corn on the cob; and, I would be very happy!59chevymom wrote:Throwing some burgers on the grill tonight, I don't do a lot of fancy cooking in the summer especially on weekdays

Yep, good BBQ, has to be good BBQ! There is only one place in town I will get it; and, they have been here for ages. I guess that is why.Sue wrote:We ordered out some bbq- wasn't that good. They had loaded potato salad tasted like loaded mashed with a touch of vinegar. Yuck. Ribs were steamed and the sauce was second rate.

Well, nothing wrong with salads tonight; that is good summer food.

Re: What WAS on Your Plate & and WHAT'S for Dinner 8/10
3 cups cooked white rice (day old or leftover rice works best!)
3 tbs sesame oil
1 cup frozen peas and carrots (thawed)
1 small onion, chopped
2 tsp minced garlic
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup soy sauce
pepper
On medium high heat, heat the oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the peas/carrots mix, onion and garlic. Stir fry until tender. Lower the heat to medium low and push the mixture off to one side, then pour your eggs on the other side of skillet and stir fry until scrambled. Now add the rice and soy sauce and blend all together well. Stir fry until thoroughly heated. Add pepper, serve!
