What WAS on your Plate & What's for Dinner Tonight 1/4
Happy Monday!
I'm so glad I made comfort food last night. It was cold and rainy. Definitely hit the spot.
Lady #2: Her family is driving back home; so a 'TO GO' basket. She and family are having a big breakfast before they go. Then, a long drive home. They camped on the way down; so they have a grill with them. So, decided to make - Tomato soup; sliders ready to grill (adult toppings, blue cheese, onions/mushrooms (in a foil pouch); kids, lettuce, pickles); Greek orzo (foil pouch) for adults, cheesy tater tots in a foil pouch for kids; and, all the makings for S'mores. Tea and lemonade in water bottles frozen for the coolers; and, everything is disposable. Also, cheesy popcorn and fruit and granola mix; frozen grapes and apple slices for a snack. Breakfast burritos in foil ready to grill in the am; yogurt and granola cups.
Me: Mojo shrimp/tomato skewers; zucchini, summer squash, and onion skewers; scallion and herb rice. NO, rain today; back to the grill.
WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE?

Brandie, chicken stir fry sounds tasty ... I had rice too; but, not a true stir fry. Sounds good to me!!
What are your favorite veggies to add?
I always loved bean sprouts and sugar snap peas ... my all time favorite!

It was pretty good KChurchill5, I try different stir fry recipes all the time, this one was just ho-humKchurchill5 wrote:Lovin ... soup is my go to when it is cold. NOTHING better than soup and sammy.

http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/easy-s ... auce-12688 is a real simple sauce I use often.
My favorite combo, broccoli, water chestnuts, thin red bell pepper strips, bean sprouts, mushrooms (white or shitaki), chicken, beef or shrimp; and rice.
Sugar snap peas are my other favorite to add; and, I love to add red pepper flakes for some heat.
It's real simple; and common ingredients. If you want, give it a try. Just thought I would pass it on.

I used to eat leftover fried fish with malt vinegar on saltine crackers when I was young. I know crazy; but, it was so good. I still do it now and then ... guilty!!
