Steak for lunch.. yum yum

I have been low-carbing it the past couple of days since my carb eating daughter is away on a trip. Today's lunch was a yummy Steak au Poivre - just a simple sirloin coated in crushed peppercorns and cooked to about medium in a small pat of garlic butter. Then I made a small amount of gravy by adding a splash of cream to the pan juices. A half avocado with a spoonful of blue cheese dressing on the side.



I know it sounds super rich and indulgent - but that was the exact lunch suggested in my low carb diet book. I have used this particular book before with success, so I know it works if I follow it - I was really skeptical the first time, let me tell you!

Thank you Bergy - it was really yummy. Way more than I would normally pick to eat for lunch normally. As a dinner, sure, but not steak for lunch. It certainly kept me feeling full all afternoon.
