Step by Step Method

Step 1

Prepare the chocolate pudding according to the package instructions or use homemade chocolate pudding.

Step 2

Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin until you have fine crumbs. Set aside.

Step 3

Assemble the Graveyard Dirt Cups by layering the ingredients. Start with a layer of crushed chocolate cookies at the bottom of each serving cup or glass, representing the "dirt."

Step 4

Spoon a layer of chocolate pudding on top of the cookie crumbs, filling the cups about halfway.

Step 5

Place a few gummy worms or other gummy candies in the pudding layer, partially submerged to resemble the zombies clawing their way out of the grave.

Step 6

Add another layer of crushed cookies on top of the gummy worms, creating another "dirt" layer.

Step 7

Spoon another layer of chocolate pudding on top of the cookie crumbs, filling the cups almost to the rim.

Step 8

Finish off the Graveyard Dirt Cups with a final layer of crushed cookies, completely covering the pudding.

Step 9

Optional: Decorate the top with whipped cream or whipped topping to create a spooky graveyard scene. You can draw tombstones or other graveyard-themed designs using a toothpick or small piping bag.

Step 10

Refrigerate the Graveyard Dirt Cups for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and the cookies to soften slightly.

Step 11

Serve the chilling Graveyard Dirt Cups cold, allowing your guests to dig in and discover the gummy worms hidden within.
