Canadian Recipe Contest

Post by Sue » Mon Jul 14, 2014 8:21 pm

I saw this contest for sausage recipes using Johnsonville sausages and thought of all my Canadian friends here at Zazz. I'd love to put a recipe in myself, but out of country. I know lots of you feel bad when contests exclude Canadians. Well, this one is right up your alley.
And maybe you don't think your recipe is that special but I have won contests before, with recipes I didn't think were all that. I mean, what do you have to lose by trying?
If you do, I wish you guys the best of luck! :)

This is supposed to be info (I just see a recipe vid since I am from the USA)

I am not in Canada, but I have used Johnsonville raw brats with the casing off to make stuffing with. It was awesome! I love to use the hot italian sausages, uncased to make spaghetti. Lots of ideas to use Johnsonville!

I am going to try to get time to do a Mezzetta contest. I see it is open to both the US and Canada.
It is for sandwiches but specifically excludes burgers and dogs.
Awesome prize- 25k.
I'd say that's worth trying to win! :)

I put one in the Mezzetta contest yesterday.
Y'all aren't just going to sit there on your hands and let me win are you?
If you put a recipe in, don't post it anywhere but there. Just a heads-up.
They take all rights, but after I lose, I know how to legally share that one. LOL

With a cash prize like that, it is kind of like buying a lotto ticket. But who knows? At least it's not one of those contests that is a popularity contest to see how many friends and relatives one can get to vote for them.
Reminds me of people who get their family to review their recipes. :/
