LOL, Shadows! That is funny! I need one of those shirts for my DH....after he survives it! He hasn't survived it yet!

I had it custom made at one of those online tee shirt shops. I don't remember which one though, it was 6 years ago.

Mary wrote:Whether it's football, hockey, the weather, or the state of our lives, we all share "what's up" to keep in touch. Lots of things to talk about, really.
I have no idea, for instance, what it's like to live in weather that drops to zero or below. How do you get to work? Other than layers (and layers) of clothing, how do you dress? Why don't the pipes just freeze solid?
Lol Mary, We warm up our vehicles about 1/2 an hour before we go and yes, we wear layers of clothes. Also there are lots of heavy duty warm coats and snow pants to chose from nowadays. As for the pipes freezing, the furnace inside our homes keeps them from freezing and the outdoor pipes are deep enough in the earth not to freeze. The pipes in our vehicles have antifreeze in them to prevent them from freezing.

Thanks for the information QueenBea. The only time I tried to drive icy freeways still brings memories of cars just drifting sideways of their own accord, and lots of pipes in the southern U.S. are above ground. On the lighter side, I've always wondered what in the world folks do with flannel pj's.

Oh Mary! Flannel PJ's are so wonderful on me under my Goose down duvet!
I like to sleep with my window open
I forgot to add that my Missey cat is curled up under the duvet too - she doesn't have any flannel PJ's.

Mary, I love my flannel jammies, they're so soft and warm, hubby doesn't care much for them, he calls them granny PJ's. Granny PJ's or not, they keep me warm
Gerry, I'm so glad you are healing well. It is nice to have you back, you were missed ;)
