Indeed! I have a kick-butt recipe (no chocolate as some recipes do). I don't have it posted here. One day when life slows down (remodeling done), I'll start adding recipes here.

I have to admit ... I still don't get it - it's basically Southwest or Mexican spaghetti, :) lol.
But, I do understand the whole tradition. My friends think my chili with sour cream, avocado, olives, cilantro is strange :o ; so, I can't argue. But, it is a great to use up the chili,   lol.

I'm always amazed at all the variations of chili out there.
Hi SC! :D

I'm no expert but I do love Cinc'y Chili and IMO it is WAY different than SW or Mexican. Seasonings are different.
My Cinc'y Chili had Allspice & cinnamon, just to name a couple differences.
I love this stuff!

Some of the recipes I've seen, does have cinnamon. Others do not. I guess it's just your preference. Mine does not. But it sure was good!!

From what I remember, yes, a bit. But, not absolutely sure on that one.
Homemade past, yummy, Tagliatelle is a favorite; and ravioli I love. Sounds delicious.
Spinach and BRAIN? seriously? I'm not too sure on that.
Dessert, I don't eat many sweets; but, I do like crepes. Especially with fruit.

I posted the above before I read all the replies, sorry guys ... my fault.
Shadows, Agreed, it isn't really southwest or Mexican; but, it is chili ... it just reminds me of a southwest chili; but, you are right - it is WAY different.

Chicago, lemon chicken sounds good. And pulled pork, you and Shadows are thinking the same thing - Pulled pork. Sounds delicious.

I made deviled eggs, my soup, celery, pimento cheese, hummus, crackers. Easy, and comfort food. Sat by the pool, watched the stars, and chilled. I'd say ... that was a good dinner.

We had leftover chili. Tomorrow morning is my version of huevos ranchero. Chili will be gone, so I will have to cook. I was eyeing some ribeyes in the freezer, so probably that and who knows what?

It's not southwest or mexican. It's actually Greek. Go figure! LOL
Not that this area has that many Greek immigrants. But all it took was one to get that thing started. :)

I believe the original does, although it still proprietary. The guy who made it was working for Empress and then when he got his recipe polished, opened up Skyline. There have been quite a few Cinti chili restaurants since then, especially older ones when chili diners were more popular. Now it is mostly Skyline, which is like a McDonald's. There is Gold Star but they are mostly food court fodder. And the others are scattered around Queen City, mostly in older neighborhoods if they are still open. Some have closed, like a lot of older restaurants.
