Thank you for the reminder about the cookies. I had forgotten about them. Will be making after the heat wave.

Yikes...we are in the 30'sC all this week! Thank goodness we live in a dry climate, so the heat is easier to take. I feel for the people on the coast that have to deal with the high temps AND humidity!! Not a fun place to be!!!

Been clicking.

Hope the weekend and yesterday saw to many happy and special celebratory hours at your house Patti. Early morning dawned clear and bright, it's only 11 but looks like a promising day in store.

This Jonathan Lockwood Huie quote caught my eye this morning- so true as troubled as this world of ours is we are truly blessed to have enough to share with others.

"Success is a result of hard work, plus being blessed with good genes, food,
a good country, an opportunity for education, and much more and for which we owe
everlasting gratitude.- Jonathan Lockwood Huie

It was a long and fun day in town. Temp was 33C and home 32C. And this is to continue for the next week.

Still in the mid 30'sC...and continuing for awhile! UGH!! So I get out in the early morn to get things accomplished.

A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won't be too bad!

Been Clicking.

Here we are August end with the long weekend approaching, how did that happen!

Have to agree with your quote Patti, our furbabies love us unconditionally, as we do them. My girls are so enjoying their homemade food and barely touch the kibble. I have 2 large chicken breasts with carrots about ready to take out of the oven and prep for them.

So true ...

I need to see to watering the pots and the garden, hopefully manage some clean up and pick the great tasting pole beans all the while my knee/leg back to square one. Made calls yesterday, need to make some calls on Tuesday. I suspect I am looking to another surgery.

A city day yesterday to assure to have birthday supplies on hand took it's toll, there is no doubt I need to make that call to my orthopedic surgeon to assure information got there as suggested by my family doctor.

Been awhile, was more than surprised to find the Safeway Black Forrest cake I love has changed from the lovely round to square in both small and larger got both as well as a Rhubarb and Strawberry pie ... for me and the rhubarb lovers. Looked for peaches for that wonderful Peach Pie of yours - hopefully next time. Seeing as I can still barely put any weight on that leg of mine that might not be any time soon!

Shocked to find we dropped to one feels like 0 which we are still at. Seems okay, have to hope it didn't freeze as have some great tasting pole beans and veggies needing picking - it won't happen this morning!

Love this quote, we should be all good Patti! ...

Finally got on it and have a referral to my orthopedic surgeon, they were fully booked til just before Thanksgiving on the 10th, have been put on the cancellation list so that may be a plus. This morning off to the city with a knee that is as bad as it was 2 months ago when I did the three day Urgent Care. I was more than impressed with this new addition to our health care.

Along with a cortisone shot hoping they can suggest a brace to get me by. I do know they aren't a permanent fix as they do weaken the muscles but there are times ... and I faithfully do my stretches and exercises.

Always a plus to see the Daily Double, have to hope all our animal lovers are clicking to help the fur babies out there. It's free and just takes minutes.

Another good reminder when the going gets tough ...
