MaMere and Laury, great to see you gals.

MaMere, great resolutions.

Laury, I know you will get in your exercise when you can. Just no pushing yourself too hard on days you shouldn't. Take some time and enjoy Tom's company when he is off work.

Me, I can't wait to have my surgery over and done with so I can make some resolutions too. I know exercising causes flare-ups and I have been having bad enough pain already. I can't wait to go shopping I know that January is Exercise DVD month at Walmart. Seen some Jillian Micheal's ones for $10 the last time I was there. I will buy some now even though I know I won't be able to do them because they are hard to find after Jan. Walking training should be starting up soon. I will do it until I go on leave. Kinda makes me sad thinking I won't be able to do it all this year. But I think of all the times I had to miss out because I had backaches or stomachaches. After this year I will be able to do more.

Hi Crazy!
When are you having your surgery? I'm sure you will feel MUCH better having that behind you!
I have heard the Jillian Michaels dvd's are kickbutt good! In fact, our friends were just talking about it a couple nights ago. I don't have hers so maybe I'll look for some on sale.

Will keep you and Laury in positive thoughts. Keep us posted as to your surgery too.

I don't know when I will get my surgery done, I phoned the clinic that referred me to the Specialist and the lady there says it takes time to get an appointment with the Specialist. It has been 3 weeks as of tomorrow since the referral. So I will patiently wait until the middle of next week and phone the Specialist's office as I have been in pain most of the past month. But the past 2 days have been pretty good, I think I will have to take some meds tonight, but yesterday I only needed them in the morning, which is down from 3 times a day.

Jillian is a very kick butt workout, I have the 30 Day Shred and did get up to Level 3, took me 7 months to get there, where as it should have taken 21 days. I didn't do it consistently I think it was a 40 times. I only did Level 3 a few times before the excuses got in the way. I did lose more than 15 lbs in that time, I seen a major difference, my arms weren't as jiggly, my legs were rock hard, and I could do real push-ups, which I have never done in my entire life, I was up to 14 or 17 at a time.

I have gained back about 5 lbs, but it is hard to tell. I found I weight more when I am in pain. I was up 7 lbs 2 days ago but was up 5 as of this morning. So I am still down 10 then what I was this time last year. I had to wear my fat pants today to remind myself. The pants I wore 5-6 years ago that were so damn tight that if I sat down I could barely breath in them.

Crazy, just take care of you. I can't believe that the Doctors are making you wait like this, not fair, especially when you are in that kind of pain!
Don't worry or concern yourself with diet and exercise, just take it easy. It can all wait.
Hoping you are having a "feeling better" day today!

I'm kind of surprised more zazzies aren't peeking in here with the New Year and all :)

Here's my new program...
4-15 minute sessions (1 mile) on the treadmill, 6 days per week. Gives me OVER the 10,000 step a day goal. I'm breaking it up into sessions, as I have done a bit of research and for those that have sluggish metabolisms (ME!) its best to get the heart rate up a few times, than just one long run.
10 Minute Trainer by Tony Horton 5 times per week.
ZUMBA! 5 times per week.
I may do interval of the Trainer/Zumba workouts, will see how I feel after I do this for one week.

Still taking multi vitamins and minerals, but may be revamping that soon too.
Currently taking L Carnitine, Liquid B, Multi Vitamin, Vitamin C, Calcium w/Magnesium, Tart Cherry Juice (great for joint pain) DHA and Baby Aspirin. Occasionally Chia Seeds, but have a difficult time with the texture.

Hope you all are doing well with Health...

Yeah it is amazing we don't have more visitors.

I will keep checking in, even though I am not working out. I really should try and clean up my diet but it is so hard with my family, plus the fact I never plan meals, so today I was lazying on the couch, reading and napping, well hubby ended up taking pot pies out of the freezer for dinner. I really got to get back on my vitamins.

Don't even put pressure on yourself right now Crazy, not with the surgery coming up. There will be all the time in the world after that is done, and behind you and I will still be around to support you :)
Just take care of you, for today.

Today is weird and Tom is not pleased. I knew I had to exercise today because after today he'll be home all week. Since I exercise in the apartment, I figured it's the only day I could exercise. I was on oxygen which I took off and walked my 3 10 minute periods. Then I would go back to the oxygen. Tom believes that any day I have to use oxygen should be a day I don't exercise. I see my doctor in about 2 weeks and I will ask her for her opinion.

I know its going to be a difficult week for you Laury, will be thinking of you.

All I ask is how did you feel after you exercised? I know you pretty well, and you seem to listen to your body, back off if your body tells you to, and exercise when you feel you can.
If you felt well after, then that matters!

Hugs to you!

Well, this is my kind of place! I need to keep motivated...I go out now and walk when I can. I feel invigorated and it is so much nicer than staying in doing that blasted treadmill.... :? Got in a good walk when I went to town to the post office. I love to walk up and down the streets and look at the houses. There are some intersting old ones and they interest me.
I try to soak up as much sunshine as I can ...it keeps me upbeat! Jonesing for the warmer weather when I can be out all day long once again! Really miss it...sigh...
Eating healthy is not difficult for me. I take one B-12 dot daily, Evening Primrose, multiple vitamin, and Calcium plus D.
I am supposed to eat one banana daily too. I like them alright, but when you have to eat one it isn't nearly as enjoyable!
Cherries are very beneficial. What kind Mamere? Why the magnesium with your calcium? To help you sleep better? Muscle cramping???? Curious...
Laury I go by what my body tells me. I listen to it all the time. I push when I feel up to it.
I do my treadmill all in a one shot deal. I play with the speed and the incline. I just want to get it done....
For me...to be stuck indoors with that monster is tough....but I do it. ;)
