WE'RE CLOSING IN ON THE WEEKEND!
So What's Everyone Cooking Today ... Anything New and Exciting on the Menu?

Today's Cooking ...
Last night they had some fresh mussels at the store; I couldn't refuse. On the grill with added shrimp; in a beer broth with lemon, leeks, onion, garlic, Old Bay and herbs.

Today, my big brunch rehearsal dinner. I'm leaving right now in fact. Everything prepped last night; so, this am was easy.
Tonight, my lasagna, already made, just reheat with roasted carrots.
Then, prepping for the formal breakfast wedding to take place tomorrow am.

Since I had herb-roasted chicken breast on Tuesday, last night I made chicken ala king with the leftover chicken, poured over my Mountain High Fluffy Biscuits http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/mounta ... uits-23193.
Tonight I think it's going to be fish.

That sounds good to me. Anything with peppers are good. I grow them ... so I have a huge abundance on hand. Always looking for recipes to use them in.

River, I make that soup often. Sometimes great, sometimes OK; but, I will never complain about a good pot of comforting soup.
Throw a little of this in, a little of that. Maybe some rice of noodles, etc. Yep; that is always a good go to meal.

TGIF!!!
Well, We Made It ... It's Friday !

Today's Cooking ...
Wedding Party Breakfast (23): 9-11
Classic eggs benedict (english muffin, canadian bacon [4 turkey bacon], poached eggs, hollandaise); cheese blintzes/crepes http://www.williams-sonoma.com/…/crepes ... ies-and-ri… but, I add vanilla and nuts to my filling, and, my sauce is half berries cooked/half fresh berries w/orange zest and grandmanier; pomegranate or mango mimosas, coffee/tea
FYI, I made all this last night. This morning is just reheating and put it all together; and, I do have help.

Me: Chipped beef (I found a pkg of Buddig Beef in the fridge) over toast; tomato slices - quick and easy
Prep: Sauerbraten Brine - for Next Wednesdays German Feast: It needs to brine 5 days (that literally takes 10 minutes to make)

Last night I mad parmesan crusted fish, spaghetti squash, and stuffed crimini mushrooms.
Tonight I made ricotta-stuffed shells with a roasted red pepper sauce, and crusty Italian bread.
