Morning!
And, for those in the US; or anyone else who celebrates ...

Image

Sue, believe it or not ... I have never had oyster chowder. And, I love oysters, except in stuffing for some reason  .

Deepster ... I would call that Thanksgiving Dinner, just a twist. My friend does DUCK for Thanksgiving; just not turkey fans
Your fritatta sounds good.

I ended up with a wrap sandwich and sweet potato fries; got to use some stuff up in the fridge.
---------------------
My ham is in the oven; a glaze of maple, mustard, brown sugar, and bourbon. It's fully cooked; but, then, I can just slice what I need for dinner.

Turkey is classic herb roast; the infamous green bean casserole (yes, with soup); and I even baked rolls and made my butter.
Spuds, I add a little sweet potato to mine; and more broth than cream or butter; the gravy is enough. Classic stuffing too.

It will be a lazy day around the house; cleaning and Xmas decorations, yes; already!

Have a great day everyone!

I hope those who celebrated; had a great Thanksgiving. I ate way too much; but, admit, it was pretty darn good.

Today, for me, just the same as last night heated up. Always better the second day.

Also, cooking T'day for Lady #1 and guests.
Relish try to start, turkey breast, maple mustard glazed ham, classic dressing, sour cream spuds/gravy, creamy peas and pear onions, orange cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin pie; and, upside down cranberry pecan cake.

The nights are warm and beautiful down here.
I'm going to grill some chicken and roast some bell peppers.
I have some bake beets, so I will make a salad with blue cheese and fresh herbs.
For dessert I made strawberry ice cream.

We are in leftover mode. We have eaten them all day. Might try to do something new tomorrow with them, but honestly we are relishing in the turkey and ham sandwiches. Oh yeah and I had stuffing and a ham sandwich for breakfast. Well I had part of a sandwich, my dogs decided they would like some also!

Morning !

Dis, I'm with you. I've been loving all the leftovers. I had ham sandwich yesterday; more turkey, green beans spuds, etc for dinner. But, I enjoy it.

Today, I am making T'day dinner for Lady #2. She was out of town Thursday; so, she wants to have dinner for her sister and family visiting.

Marinated olives and spicy cajun nuts to start; fried turkey (the nephew is doing that; but, using my turkey fryer); making a cranberry brown sugar ham in the crock pot; corn bread and apple stuffing w/gravy; baked sweet potatoes w/bourbon and walnuts; cranberry relish; baked green beans and tomatoes; rolls; and the sister picked up the pies already. I prepped most yesterday; so, not too much to do today.

Me ... guess what? Leftovers. However, just ham tonight vs turkey, finish off the green bean casserole; and, make potato cakes with the spuds. I'll serve those with a cranberry mustard sauce.

I'm sure I'll have a couple extra that I will freeze for later on. I still have 2 small containers of stuffing; and some gravy in the freezer; that will be perfect later on this month - and, on into January.

I was going to freeze some of the chicken and stuffing casserole that I cooked for T'day. However, I have eaten the whole thing except for one serving  I still have some collards leftover and everything else is gone. Well, I do have a bit of cranberry sauce. Considering all this, I'm going to go ahead and finish off these things tonight instead of even thinking about freezing anything. Then, there will be NO MORE leftovers :D I have two chicken tenders left that I MUST cook tonight, so I'll make some chicken salad for tomorrow.

Deepster sounds good; I'm sort of doing the same. I will pack up everything tomorrow for the freezer. I have 3/4 of a ham and 1/2 turkey; but, I expected that. So; tonight, like you. Just finishing up.

I'm heading to my poker friends tomorrow for ANOTHER turkey dinner; but, completely different. Having collards; and, they make GREAT collards. I'm excited for those.

Chicken salad is a good lunch. I like to small dice and serve with crackers rather than a sandwich. I love to have that for lunch, I do the same with tuna and egg salad.
Since I don't eat a big lunch; that is something I really enjoy.
