Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - AUGUST 2014
My Kitty is growing up a bit and seems more content at night. Except the furaball likes to sleep curled up next ot my bare legs. If I have on sweats she trys to curl up under my chin or under my t-shirt against my belly. She is HOT HOT HOT . But she sleeps really soundly and nudging her doesn't work - I have to physically move her.
My other cat is now jealous and won;t even com in the bedroom if evil Abbigail is around. So when I work on the computer at home - Chloe likes to drape herself around my neck. I love them both to death though

I can relate to sleep disorders; I'm lucky to get 4 hrs a night; 5-6 of a gift. Frustrating.Deepster wrote:My head never hit the pillow last night....not uncommon, as I do have a sleep disorder. I have been in some kinda time warp with sleep for over a week. Despite that, I went into town with the neighbor for the afternoon. I did get quite a bit of shopping done. Anyway, tonight I am so whipped that I'm doing freezer stash ham, lima bean, barley and spinach soup....some crackers on the side. I really don't think I'll get much past that before I hit the bed
Sounds like a nice day; and, nothing wrong with a bowl of soup for dinner. I do that often. I love a good bowl of soup. Rest up!!

Karen, I was lucky and basically skipped menapause; but, I still don't sleep. So, i feel for all of us who deal with that every day - trust me. I've tried meds, all natural; and, nothing really helps. I wish ...
Salad and chicken sounds just good to me.
I had a late dinner; but the fish was good. I'm craving something ... not sweet; but something.
I think I will cut up a sweet peach and have a little cool whip - yes, I keep some on hand. It's makes a nice dessert. Usually I have mascarpone; but, I'm out.

Well, all 3 of the kitties are in time out - that pretty much tells you how my morning has been.
Anyways, working from home; but, also heading to the office for a bit too. Still very hot here, mid 90's and triple digit heat index; so, the pool is a must.
Today's Cooking ...
Lady #1 (#2 has plans): A mix of 2 recipes from Dissie and Galley Wrench; a salad of mixed greens with cucumber and olives w/lime vinaigrette.
Me: Fried rice - I have a small chicken breast, shrimp, and rice (all cooked in the freezer); I'll add some peas, cabbage, carrots, celery, and the typical soy, egg, etc. Sort of a clean out the fridge and freezer dish.
peach and grape on the side.
