The Kindness of Strangers

I was at Steinmart the other day and as I was leaving - with an arm full of clothes - a lady stopped me and asked me if I need a 15% off coupon as she was leaving. Heck, yeah! She saved me $25!

Last night we were at dinner, rather pricey as it was a special dinner - the couple next to us started chatting and told us to tell our server that we were there for the "Sunday Special" and we would get 50% off our food. Gotta be honest, we didn't really believe that :lol: But what the heck? We asked and our server told us that was true, although they like for you to ask when you arrive. But he adjusted our bill and we saved $40 off our food bill :o

So $65 in savings this week from the kindness of strangers, awesome! :D

Wowsers, that dinner deal was pretty awesome! If I have an extra coupon, I definitely pass it along. What a good week!

I know, right? I couldn't believe it! That is a lot of savings at that restaurant. I guess it's mainly a word of mouth special for locals. Fantastic! We will definitely go back there. And the food was delicious :lol:

Hopefully you tipped on the full amount due not the discounted amount....as servers rely on tips to survive!! ;)

Ha, I was in that business for almost 25 years, we tip well :lol: Actually, with this deal, they add an 18% gratuity automatically. And we left an extra $5 as well. Great place, can't wait to go back!
