I stopped at the local meat locker and got some smoked cajun bratwursts. I cut them up and added zucchini and sauerkraut. (Zucchini just cuz it needed to be used. I diced it small and it sucked up the flavor of the kraut-Yummy) We had mashed potatoes on the side, baked beans and swiss chard. (Well I had swiss chard)

Nice Feast Dis. I would eat your swiss chard :D I love it.
And, TGIF!

Ladies #1 and #2 - Fri Game/Card Night
Pasta alfredo w/either grilled shrimp or chicken as a topping.
Classic caesar, garlic bread; and steamed mussels in white wine

No happy hour today; no one could make it. But, one of my friends may stop over after work, they get off at 10, and we may watch a movie - wine may be involved.

Dinner, a few weeks ago, I grilled a couple extra chicken quarters to have on hand in the freezer. So, I'll heat one up, along with a zucchini and summer squash casserole topped w/cheese; and, a radish salad.
Probably make some extra squash for tomorrow night.

I could've sworn I posted a recipe, but it's not on my list. I'll fix that later. But dinner tonight is creamy chicken enchiladas...the recipe makes 12 (or two 9x13 pans), so you can freeze one for later. Had to trust mom to put them in the oven since I'll be at work, but hopefully that goes well and I'll be able to eat when I get home.

Sounds good Felix! If Mom wants to eat, she better put them in the oven, lol. Great leftovers too!

Slight change ... didn't feel like chicken. But, I like the sound of my baked 2x baked potato I froze. Just felt like it.

So, my 2x baked spud. It has bacon, sour cream, cheese, chicken broth, and scallions.
On the side, a zucchini and tomato casserole with my leftover diced tomatoes I took out of the freezer the other day. Only used, 1/2 of them.

Today, NO cheese, tomorrow; I will add cheese to enjoy the leftovers with blackened fish.

Lots of fresh fruit to enjoy!

We went out to eat. Stopped at a local bar/restaurant on the way home from work. The Firehouse Grill. I kept hearing how good their food was. We both had burgers. Both of us really thought it was good. The fries were frozen. Could have been so much better had they been homemade fries. But the burgers rocked! We had breaded pickle slices for an appetizer and we really enjoyed it. They served with ranch, so we added mustard, and ketchup and hot sauce from the table condiments and made a much better sauce! But it was all good, plus I didn't have to cook! We will return. Next time I am getting the walleye! Hubby spied a cajun BLT that he said he would like to try. We saw the next table get a reuben and it looked amazing. The owners of this restaurant are kids of folks I went to high school with, so that was also neat to patronize the restaurant!

Dis, sounds like a fun place. I love fried pickles - da bomb!:) Seriously, sauce ... I am sometimes particular on that, but sounds like an overall nice place. I WOULD love the walleye! A cajun BLT sounds pretty good too.

DIS, FYI, take a look at my new posted recipe ... w/ cabbage. Thought it might be something you might like.
Pasta with cabbage, chicken and bacon. Easy too. I know you have cabbage to use up.

Yes I do Kim, running to check it out. I froze ten heads yesterday. Now my chest freezer is about to burst! Pretty much out of freezer space. Canning is the only option left. I gave away 6 heads yesterday to friends at work. Sounds great, a new recipe for cabbage!

NOT saucy, NOT creamy, simple flavors. You cold always add your touches. I have added parm before too. You can really amp it up however. But, it is a simply recipe.

It also stretches 8 oz of past to feed 4 big plates too. You'll see when you take a look
Customize to fit you!

10 heads, holy crap!! WOW. I would say your freezer is bursting.
I froze my cabbage soup I just made. I have 4-5 ziplocks. They will make a nice lunch one day or dinner.

A friend just gave me 12 ears of corn ... I"M ONE ! I think I am going to freezing some ... NO complaints, I will be happy to accept it.
