Felix, the salad sounds like a meal I'd eat most any night in the summer for dinner. I can taste it now!

I'm having a pan seared-barbequed chicken breast tender on a slice of sour dough bread. It's like a cheaters kind of BBQ sandwich that I love so much. Simple recipe that I'll post....takes all of 12 mins to prepare. I'll include a slice or two of cantaloupe and call it dinner ;)

We had frozen pizza and some French fries. I will be happy to return to more healthy eating once we have finally finished this move. We move out on Sunday.

Sue and Felix - I would love to have had a taste of each of those meals. Yum! I am not sure what the bun noodle is, but it sounds good and fruit salads are something I actually crave in the summer.

Morning All!

Back home. It was a nice 3 day getaway. NOT vacation; but, just not home which was nice, and no work.

Felix, love the salad, I saw the pic. Delish. Deepster, sounds quick and easy, but delicious. Dis, your Mexican meal looks wonderful. We grilled the lamb and sides; and, it was very tasty. I will have to post his potato salad. Sliced of grilled potatoes, grilled kale, onions, and scallions. A few herbs, and a mustard vinaigrette with capers. OMG, it was heavenly, and not difficult.

Today's Cooking ... Back to reality
Since my entire weeks menu has got screw up; I had to rearrange everything.

Lady #3: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/slow-o ... almon-9685 w/a greek topping (tomato, olives, feta in a vinaigrette); couscous; and a marinated cucumber salad

Me: Easy tonight. Frittata, using up mushrooms, some onions, and peppers, cheese; and topped with tomatoes; some kind of salad with cucumbers, and maybe radishes; and possibly some fresh mango for dessert.

I've got #recipe7186 in the crock pot. I'm gonna skip serving it over anything and just put it in bowls.

Assuming, of course, I get to come home from work for a break today. We're doing Chris Isaak in our outdoor venue, and while normally going in at 11am would indicate it's a small, easy show, the large number of local crew indicates instead that they were somewhere yesterday and couldn't get here as early as we would like. We'll see.

We are probably having hotdogs tonight with sliced cukes and ranch dip. My bf wants more FF, so I might go buy him some more to go along with it. At least I feel like I have been working hard enough physically to burn off some of these excess calories some. I am beat after all this packing and running all over the place getting things done.

Stopped at the farm stand on the way home to grab the cukes and also got a nice mango, avocado and a couple of artisan sodas. Bulldog root beer for me, Butterscotch Beer for my BF. Great stuff!

Felix, sounds like a good plan. I'm not a huge curry fan; but, trying to eat it more and more. Finding some dishes I do like with it.

HF, I personally love dogs, so I would be fine with dogs and cukes. I have never had artisian sodas. Sounds interesting.

Dropped off Lady #3's food; now home to get stuff done. Eventually dinner. I eat late ... so I have a couple of hours before I need to think about it.

Unfortunately, it was not good. Live and learn, I guess. Just wish I hadn't wasted two pounds of chicken along with my time and everything else for a meal I only ate because it seemed wrong to throw it away.

I'm doing a "Skillet Grilled Chicken Tenders" sandwich on fresh Sourdough Bread.
I'll also do some fried summer squash slices as a side. I'll top it off with some super sweet slices of cantaloupe :D
