Just not posted here. Yikes!!! Very busy here these days...hoping it slows down a tad!

Have been getting snow quite regularly now. Not big dumps...about 3 inches a day. Just enough to have to shovel from the wood shed to the basement door so I don't slip and fall ( I sand the wheelbarrow tracks...lol)

I did the shoveling yesterday...no snow forecasted. Ya right! Will be back out there this morning as I need to bring in wood today also. This might sound like I don't like doing it...but I really do enjoy the physical work!

Cougar is back in our area! Last evening when I put Two Socks (a rescue from the Reserve) out on leash...he stood frozen in place sniffing the air for a good long time. He caught a scent that is not usually in our area. Believe me...I sure take note of that!!! Both my fur babies are always leashed out here in the bush.

Hope you enjoy this beauteous day we have been given! :-)

Cougar update: Yesterday my friend came by on her ATV and noticed the cougars foot prints coming down our driveway and down onto snow covered grass. He passed through and back into our forested area. I have not seen tracks close to the house. But I take extreme precautions even with my dogs on leash (they are always leashed outside!) and I carry a long pointed pole and always scanning the area. More fun times in the 'hood! LOL

Hope all is well in your world Gerry! :-)

Everyday is a fresh start!

Been clicking.

So good to hear the cougar has moved on, one benefit of snow it does allow for tracking.

Having designated holiday time from December 19 to January 6th made for wonderful family time. With the flu/bug, weather and work schedules I have at least one more 'Christmas' meal to go.

“I sustain myself with the love of family.” Maya Angelou" love that quote Patti, just thinking about it warms the heart!

Yesterday saw to calls for business, banking and warranties and such, had me phone in hand for most of the day. Just getting someone to answer only to be put on hold, transferred from one recorded messages to another none of which applied to what should have been done in mere minutes if a human would have answered or so I thought. It was much the same seeing them transferring calls. Messed up my day!

Saw this quote this morning and thought to the horror of the out of control fires and our troubled world, praying for all who are in need ...

Yesterday did see to a plus, a delivery saw to fresh vegetables and fruit which has me looking to great tasting salads and stir fries. I may have to check out some recipes.

Saw this quote this morning and thought it a great reminder to set aside time each day for the activities we love. For me I suspect today it will be some relax time browsing with the new seed catalogues.
