Black Friday

Post by Dissie » Tue Nov 01, 2011 1:15 pm

I just heard on the news that Macy's and Target are going to open at midnight Thanksgiving Day night, to get a jump on black friday.

So now you will have to stay up late and get up early! :o

How many of you participate in this frenzy?

I did it one year, to get a wii. I was up at 3:30, at the store by 4:00, to get in line. (They didn't open till 5). They only had 25 and I was #11. Some of the people were there in 2's and 3's, but I didn't know and was worried because of all the people in front of me. But I got one, went home and went back to bed!

Exactly. Anything remotely resembling a store is the LAST place on earth I can be found that entire weekend. No sale is good enough to make me deal with that crap.

Your answers are making me laugh! Image

I had no idea so many people just hated it, since there are always droves of people at the malls, etc....

I'd have my nails plucked first

I do the online shopping though. Much better with hot coffee and jams. Macy's is already previewing what they will have on sale. They're going to have a KA mixer for
$179 :o

Been there, done that, oh hell no never again! There is nothing on sale enough for me to fight that madness. If I am looking for something I may try the online site, but probably not. The advantage of not living close to my family is I have pared down the gift list to nothing. My BF and I might buy something for each other, might not. I don't buy for my family or his (he is on his own to buy for his family). I sound like a scrooge, but I am really not. Just jaded.

Not a chance! I do most of my shopping online because I really don't like to go shopping.
