Whoo 41C now that is hot Patti! A dull morning think the haze is from smoke, it was almost 20 C at six this morning but seems we will be 25 today, we will see. I was shocked to read we already have 95 wild fires in Saskatchewan. Admittedly haven't smelt the smoke but have been coughing as well as needing tissues which tells me it is close.
Love your quote, have to hope "How much love did you put into what you did?" is what matters.
Have been trying to spend the afternoons indoors these past few days, the heat does take it's toll. That's okay too as need to get things in order for the August long weekend and thinking to my Toronto grans 2 week vacation which will see to many family gathers come August and my long weekend in September birthday.

Happy to hear that you have been keeping inside Gerry! We have to take of ourselves!
Monday afternoon/night we had thunder/lightning/rain for many hours. It broke the high heat and has been substantially cooler...thank goodness! We are expecting more rain tomorrow. It was the most lovely day yesterday. Town was not hot either. The storm for us here...the lightning was over the lake. Elsewhere was not so fortunate.

Spent a long day outdoors yesterday, come 8:30 a lovely surprise, my awesome next door neighbors brought over one of the best tasting steaks I have had. Seeing I missed lunch it was enjoyed as I was too tired to do more than make toast! Down on the ground pulling weeds I could not do the indoor - it was hand delivered! It's true the world may be in a sad place but if each of us are caring and kind what a wonderful world it would be!
A heat warning with high humidex reading has me know I can not be out this afternoon.

Extreme heat warning for today with the promise of a cooler day tomorrow. While I wonder how people cope in the southern areas I I still prefer it to temperate drops of 40 and 50 below, snow and raging blizzards. I try not to think how the crops will fare in this heat. So back to morning watering and weeding.

Both of your quotes Gerry, are bang on! Gads...I hope you do not get the 41C heat wave we did...it was brutal! Stay in, stay cool!
Still cooler weather here so far...expecting rain today. So we shall see.

Going to mow this morning early. But before I do...I need to haul away tree branches. DH took down a couple of birch trees and bucked them up and put them in the shed. Thank goodness the temp is still cool here right now...11C.

Took 2 hours mowing yesterday...but got all the front mowed. Today tackling the back 40...should only take me a little over and hour.
Hope you are not in a heat wave Gerry! Please take care! -:)
