Well, the good news (if it can be called that) is that you know it's broken -- you know it may need surgery -- you know the wait didn't aggravate anything (which we were worried about) -- and you have a cast and some crutches. Crutches may be the best news in that list for the present!Kchurchill5 wrote: I don't work on a 9-5 schedule, so sort of difficult to find people to help out. Most people close by are in bed by 9 and I'm having dinner ... Oh well, I guess I will do the best I can.
Basically, frustrated, pissed, angry, and just don't know what to do next. I cook for 3 ladies, my job. Also I work a normal job, and I do consulting ... so, how to do all that and keep a house running when on crutches.
It's going to take some creative meal planning to get meals to your ladies, that's for sure. Consulting may have to be postponed or done online or by cell for awhile, and the house will definitely have to wait its turn.
Your schedule is going to change a bit if you want to get some help, it seems. Maybe you could shoot for 12:00 to 6:00 for the "helpers" and do what you can on your own before and after? If money allows, you might hire an "assistant" to run errands, clean the house/wash clothes and dishes, etc.
I'm just glad that you have some idea what's ahead. Take care of yourself . . . though that hardly needs saying.
