Definitely spoiled. I got a call, actually 2 calls from my friend last night. That is RARE for hm; he isn't exactly someone who remembers holidays. But, he called for mothers day ... For me, that is huge. So, we talked a good hour or so, fun.

That was all the presents I needed.
I bought myself a new orchid at Home Depot in honor of Mom. It will be on the table tonight in her honor.
That is good in my book.

Hi All! I know I've been "out of pocket" but the weather here had me down for awhile. It also gives my landscaper an excuse to keep putting me off. It rains enough every day to make outside work difficult but not impossible, Sigh.

Sooo, I see Pat's one spoiled lady! Awesome Mother's Day Pat!

Hugs Kc, What did you decide on the grill?

Hey Bergy, I'm the same way and decided to start saving for a mower and do the work ourselves. This guy has really stressed me out and life is too short! :D

The weather is supposed to start warming up tomorrow and I plan on being outside! Have a great evening everyone.

Went and saw the specialist this morning and surgery is scheduled for the 16th June and he needs to operate on 3 sections of the spine to scrape away the calcification caused by the arthritis so has to free up the nerves which are being crushed. DH and I will take 10 days of prior to that to go to Kalbarri (about 6 to 6 1/2 hours drive north of were we live) the following is a link of images of Kalbarri http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ima ... &FORM=IGRE The DH will be in care for 6 weeks though that may be extended from the 28th May and the DS will be in care for 4 weeks from the 29th May (this cannot be extended but hopefully can get some in home help to look after him when the DH is not here if he cannot get enough time of). Other than that it has been a normal day though the DH did take me out to lunch and he goes on 12 hour night shift tonight so cooking up tea at the moment (just letting a mix cool down before I can mix the rest of the ingredients in).

Pat Kalbarri looks wonderful. I do love Australia. I love those gorgeous pelicans they are far more handsome than the North American pelicans.

I bet after that surgery there will be far less pain!

I don't understand the expression "in care"

In my DM's case into a nursing home and for the DS a respite service which is tailored for adults with disabilities which gives the carer a break and they are fully taken care of though at a cost.

Pat I didn't know about your DH's arthritis. Give him a gentle hug from me.

I've always loved the beauty of Australia...it's on my bucket list.

Please keep us posted so we can send healing thoughts.

Sorry Deely it is me with the arthritis in the spine not the DH but he does have issues with his shoulders especially his left and an operation was being considered at one stage for him but since he got full movement back it was decided not to do it as he could end up with less movement after the operation so it was decided to use pain management (basically pain killers and not over using it which meant he is now land based and not on water rescue duties for the Avon Descent [a white water raft race which takes place in the 1st weekend of August and has for over 20 years).

I don't know how I misread your post Pat. I'll chalk it up to a senior moment. ;)
I marked your surgery date on my calendar so I'll be thinking of you. I have back problems myself...3 herniated disks. I'm doing back exercises trying to delay the inevitable. Gentle hugs to you.
