The DH and I have just got back from a relaxing couple of days down south in a coastal town called Albany and we had a very relaxing couple of days though a little car trouble on the way down there and in 44C degree heat but by the time we got to Albany it was down to 22C and cloudy though no rain. Coming home it got up to the high 30's and the car air con was not working boy we went through a lot of water, thank goodness for the WAECO. Enjoyed some meals at a couple of nice restaurants and wished ourselves good luck for our Anniversary on Saturday, officially 34 years but we lived together for 3 years before we married. Had a friend come in to mind the DM and the DS for the 3 days and 2 nights. The DH has just left with the DS to take him to respite for the weekend and we will be having Chinese take-away for dinner. Tomorrow we will be going the airport to meet up with the ex SIL and her DD and her DD's husband for a few hours as they are on stopover before they catch their next flight and our DD will also be there to meet up with them. Tomorrow night we plan on having crayfish/lobster though still not sure as to how we will cook it.

Calling for 8 inches of snow tonite and Sat. Just going to hunker down and watch it fall. Plenty of firewood in and the fridge and freezer are well stocked. Bring it on! ;)

Stay warm and safe shadows. Rain moving in tonight. A quick store trip and home in an hour. Soup thawing. I would love the farmers market tomorrow am; but, think I will pass; I have enough.

I wish it would snow here! Cold without snow is depressing. I see so many snowmobiles in people yards just waiting......We have a little snow, not enough for the snow machines and more just ice. It warms up enough to melt what little snow we get, but gets cold at night and it turns it all to ice. Same with the ice houses that should be on the lakes. Gets cold as all get out, then warms up so things start to melt. People cant even ice fish! WTH?
Enjoy your snow Shadows, people here wish we would get it!

Dis, being from MI, I know what you mean. If it is cold; I want snow. Cross country and ice fishing were a must. We had our snowmobiles too.
I know my friends in MI have been happy Lake effect snow. They have a nice base right now.

Cannot relate to snow, ice fishing and such other than via movies, documentaries and such and some stories from my dear departed dad who lived in Scotland and often fished in the highlands even in winter.
