Already own an "Ivation" and know how to use it Sue! The winds went from dead calm to 25 mph or over and any fire is hard to control at that speed. The trouble was not too high a temp but the low end. I gave it 2.5 hours of a heavy apple wood smoke and now have it in the oven.Sue wrote:There are thermometers available that will remotely measure the inside food temp and also the temp inside the smoker or grill. You can clip it to your belt or pocket and keep an eye on it so the temp doesn't stray too much.
As long as you don't add too much fuel when it dips it shouldn't go too high.
I have a hard time getting in and out the door with my disability and going out enery 15 minutes was not cutting it!
