I knew there was a reason I liked you. :D People look at me like I've completely lost my mind when I tell them I make a spread sheet for my holiday cooking/baking. Mom and I even write on the calendar who gets what time frame in the kitchen.

She came home from the store today with the leg of lamb. And I was promptly informed that it will be the last one she ever buys. No elaboration. I'm guessing it was too expensive, but seriously...they were running it for $3.99/lb., and beef roast was HALF PRICE at $6.99/lb. I thought it was a no-brainer!

We do vodka and orange juice on Christmas morning but the way Tom does it is hilarious. He pours himself about 70% vodka and 30% orange juice. He then pours me orange juice and holds the champagne upright over my glass. Anything vodka that drips into my glass is mine to drink. Watching him do this is a riot. :D :D

I have to or I'll forget something and NOTHING makes me more crazy than having to rush back to the store. Especially with Cmas Eve being on a Sat this year, you know the stores are gonna be packed  And honestly? I'm kinda lazy, so I'm organized to fix that.

I don't make a spread sheet or notes on the calendar but I do make a list and a timeline. Usually I do this twice. Once for the goodies I make to give away. The second list is Christmas Eve/Christmas Day meals. Tomorrow is touchup cleaning day so I can start prep work on Friday. I like to putter a bit while I'm cooking. Anything that can be done ahead IS done ahead. Come Christmas morning I'll make a bellini and finish the meal. :D
