That is just so pretty! I think that is a little chickadee on the feeder munching away. Very nice. Thanks for sharing that Invictus.

Your welcome. It is beautiful and hopefully more than one person will find some inspiration to feed the winter birds with it!

I always have suet feeders and seed feeders out, year round, but a couple of days ago, I put out extra suet feeders and a thistle feeder (we have goldfinches this winter-it is our state bird, but they have become a rare sight the last decade-so I want to encourage them to hang around) because we were having snow and freezing rain. Yesterday we sat inside, nice and cozy, and watched FLOCKS of birds at all of the feeders. There were so many, I need to refill everything today. I don't think anyone else around here bothers. Remember, this time of year in cold climates, suet feeders are very important, because the birds need the fat to stay warm.

For the past few days we've been seeing red wing blackbirds at the feeders. This is a really unusual time of the year for them to show up in our yard. But, our weather nowadays is really nothing like what it was 20 years ago, so this may be the "new normal."
