My first present came in the mail today!! So now I have a grand total of...one.

Tomorrow morning we're going grocery shopping for the remainder of what I need for cookies and breads (and Sunday's dinner), as well as running through the girly-girl crap for my 16-year-old niece. Hopefully also tomorrow the book store will call me and tell me my order is in, which will complete my shopping entirely.

Tomorrow night I work, then Thursday is all about baking and wrapping presents. Friday is a lost day (working 6am to 2am), then Saturday will finish what baking I don't get done Thursday as well as last-minute cleaning and whatnot around the house. Then at noon on Sunday the masses descend on my house.

Thankfully, Sunday night my oldest niece is holding her 30th birthday party at our bar, so as soon as the holiday stuff is over at my house I will be running out the door for mass quantities of adult beverages. :D

Wow Felix, busy week ahead. Glad it ends with a nice Sunday after having to work such long hours on Friday.

Update on my Peanut Butter Balls, they turned out super delicious! I frosted them with Nutella and decorated the top all festive like. I mean, wow, delicious! Highly recommend the recipe to anyone. Even though I made a mistake while boiling the sugar mixture the end result mmm mmm good!

I'm done, I'm done, I'm DONE!!! So happy. Well, I may pick Dave up a few small gifts or maybe a sound dock for his new iphone. Other than that, shopping for Cmas food. I won't do that in advance. Since we're having steaks, I want them from the butcher case to the grill. I will probably go ahead and pick up potatoes and wine, stuff like that. I do NOT know what appetizers we're having. Will discuss with Mr Heins tonight :D

Shopping is finished, everything is wrapped, the things that have to be mailed are gone, Sweetie has taken goodie bags to work, stockings are hung, dinner ingredients are purchased except for lettuce and celery, now I get to play. :D

The book store called this morning to tell me my ordered items were there. Less than an hour in the store and I am DONE with my shopping! :D Depending on if I feel like it, I may wrap tonight, but more likely I'll do it on Saturday when I'm waiting for the oven.

Came home and started on the cookie project. Right now I'm taking a break because my feet hurt like mad, but I've got the white chocolate chip pumpkin, cream cheese walnut and lemon cream cheese cookies done. I've also got the dough for the molasses spice and butter pecan shortbread cookies made and in the refrigerator. Just have to mix up the pecan snowballs and bake those three and I'll be done for the night.

Saturday I'll be making the coconut cashew cookies, the cherry pie filling bread, the blueberry pie filling bread and the gingerbread.

Thanks Jelly :D.

Denise, your Christmas dinner sounds like it'll be delicious!

Wow racrgal, you're really on top of things! Glad you get time to relax/play now.

Oh man Felix, I wish I was in your kitchen tonight! I would have a ball helping you make all those goodies! The cherry pie filling bread sounds nice, can you share the recipe pretty please?

So I haven't been on the ball so much but things have been getting done which is a good thing. The last thing I need to do is get a photo printed to mail out in a card for my grandmother, send out one card for a friend and I'll be done. I just can't seem to find the time to get that done and hoping I'll get it wrapped up tomorrow. Tomorrow Sema and I are going Christmas browsing. Every year we go out and look at stuff in the stores, malls, flea markets and usually buy whatever we have to get. This year she'll be doing most of the shopping since she is way behind on her holiday stuff. All I need to get is a gift for my dad and a few clothing items for myself. I already have all my shopping for cooking and baking done. I'll just need to grab some fresh herbs to marinate my meat and veggies for salad when the time draws near.
