I'm pretty fortunate, my husband loves most of the things I cook. The only notable exception is oriental foods. The only thing I've made that he really enjoyed was pork lo mein. Any time I make a stir fry, he doesn't care for it, which makes no sense to me since he loves Mongolian BBQ when we go out for it.

My daughter was a picky eater, along with a mile long list of severe food allergies.
Just me and Bill now and we get along like bread and butter.
When Sarah was home, I would always do as Bergy does and cook something extra to accommodate. The hardest thing were the food allergies as some things I was afraid to let come in the house, so they were off the list for years.

About the Ragu, it freezes well. I would pack it into individual portions and do my own thing as well if I had to deal with that. There is always some solution to it.

I just recently made a TOH recipe for Zesty Zucchini Soup, found on Pinterest. It was an ok recipe, I had to spice it up quite a bit to make it zesty for us. I even added cabbage since I had that to use up! DH at first, wouldn't even try to get on board. But the smell, made him try a bowl, then he decided he liked it and then even told me today, this is a great soup and should be added to our menu when in the summer, we have an abundance of zucchini! I guess that means, this is a summer soup that he will eat to use up zucchini. He says he doesn't like oregano, first words out of his mouth were, I can smell oregano, but he still took a bite. Glad he liked it. So funny how he was just so against it, then decided he liked it! I truly think people who are so against a certain food "think" they just don't it, based on a recipe they had as kids or adults. They don't give other recipes a chance before they make up their minds, that they hate something.
