Nope not what happened! I posted right after Kim!
It went back to the original topic page and showed my post as the last one, I do know what I am doing Sue.

I know you know what you are doing. :)
I just mentioned it because it is one way a post can disappear.
It is obviously some bug in the software then.
Back when we used to do recipezaar, there had been a software bug that popped up in their forums software where posts would disappear. I really do hope it is not that one. On zaar that bug would show up when a topic became long, but not always so.
I do notice that there are still bugs in the forum software here- especially the one where the purple footer at the bottom of the page will creep up and cover the lowest replies on the page. If posts disappear in relation to that I have no idea really but it is another bug active right now. I gave up posting about that particular bug in cs and just try to ignore it.
I don't really notice my posts disappearing the way yours did but that doesn't mean anything. Especially if I didn't go back and actually look at my post after I left the topic. There could be quite a few disappeared unbeknownst, etc. I doubt your post disappearing was isolated.

Hi blonde_cook!
We didnt buy the stainless roaster but did look at them at the store. I have always used the graniteware style roaster and I love them but I have used stainless pots and pans and liked them too so was wandering about the roasters.

Jimber wrote:I got myself one of those dark ones a few years back and love it I've used a number of times for roasts and chickens, mine is a fairly small one I'm thinking of getting a larger one for a small turkey, the only thing I hate is the clean up after, you need to use steel wool to clean it and that's even after spraying it with vegetable spray
Felix4067 wrote:Jimber, I've never had to scrub mine. On the off chance something is stuck, I either soak it or boil some water in it. Comes right off with the mesh side of my dishcloth. I do always use a wire rack under whatever I'm roasting, though.

I wonder if that's the difference between my 70-year-old pans and newer ones, though, now that I think about it.
Another tip is to spray the roaster with Pam even if using a roasting bag. Clean up is easy with hot water and a regular scrub pad or like Felix mentioned the dishcloth with the mesh side. Has the steel wool scratched your roaster?

Granitewear wins hands down! ;) :D

There is nothing better then the old roasters handed down from grandma or mom. I borrowed my mom's one time and it was my grandma's, looked almost new. There is a difference in the quality of the granitwear roasters then and the ones now. The newer ones seem to be a bit "tinny" and not that heavier duty quality.
