I agree racr, that is cool. We live in the middle of the woods, but in a community that still feels somewhat safe. The parents come with the kids and we know who they are and they know us.racrgal wrote:There won't be any little spooks here. I live in a remote area. If I want to see little ghosts, witches and goblins I can drive into town. The merchants all stay open and sponsor Safe Halloween. Without the merchants there wouldn't be any Halloween. It's cool for the kids and shop owners.

Everyone feels safe out here but there are lots of dirt roads, few houses and zero street lights. Parents could be hours going to only a few houses. Merchants "hosting" is a great idea. I donated a couple of bags of candy to my beauty salon. Last year there was a classic car show in the largest parking lot in town. They called it Trunk or Treat. Very cute.Deely wrote:I agree racr, that is cool. We live in the middle of the woods, but in a community that still feels somewhat safe. I am out in a rural area too Donna...sigh...no kids here...too dark.
Racr you are out there too.
At least I got to a great Halloween party! But the kids really make holidays fun don't they...
I asked Kevin if he wanted to go trick or treating in town and I think he was considering it as we are all out of candy. We hate three bags all by ourselves!!!!!

Blacktop and dirt roads here racr, but the only business is the community store. We're completley seperated...10 miles to the closest town.racrgal wrote:Everyone feels safe out here but there are lots of dirt roads, few houses and zero street lights.
