What do you like on your pizza?

I'm a dedicated carnivore, but I prefer veggies on my pizza. Green peppers, mushrooms, and any kind of olives. Plus plenty of cheese.

I forgot a few combinations that I liked
- teryaki chicken..... yummm
- honey almond chicken - some kind of honey sauce as a base with chicken and topped with sliced almonds
- vegetarian with ricotta as a base topped, with cooked broccoli and peas, and mozza and cheddar.

I love white pizza. I have found that I do not like most regular tomato based pizza sauces, so I prefer, olive oil, and a mix of cheeses. I like meatballs, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives, and tons of cheese. I have enjoyed all meat, supremes, bbq, alfredo, even taco sauce as the basis for pizza. I think the weirdest thing I have ever seen on a pizza is pickles..I draw the line on pickles or anchovies

Dissie, please don't think poorly of me but I just don't fancy pizza. I never did...ever. Yes, I'm polite and will eat a slice when it's served to me but we never make it, buy it, go out for it or order it in.

When I have had it where there's several types to choose from, I go for very simple and plain: cheese or pepperoni. NO stuffed, double crust, extra meat...nuttin' like that. Just thin crust with bare minimum stuff.

At Uni, when my flatmates would order pizza, one of our girls would pick off everything from her slice, and eat the crust with the tomato sauce on top! So, see, I'm not as weird as Beth was! Nice topic, though. You'll have a lot of comments.

Well you certainly aren't alone. My SIL doesn't like pizza, barbecue sauce or alfredo sauce! I sometimes wonder if she's human!

Choco, I love veggies on my pizza too, with lots of sausage and pepperoni too!

Foxy, in Atlanta, there is a pizza chain called Stevie B's and they had a pizza that was called the cheeseburger. OMG it tasted just like a cheeseburger and dill pickles slices was one of the toppings. I was amazed it tasted just like a cheeseburger!

She's human, Dissie, trust me. I don't fancy ANY sauce, of any kind. I never grew up with sauces on stuff and find that it masks the flavour of what it's covering. Scandinavians don't use sauces; everything is in butter and herbs like parsley or dill.

I know that when I was growing up and visiting friends who had either German or Italian backgrounds, I was always ?????? when I'd eat at their homes. Every veggie was covered in a thick white or tomato sauce; I kept thinking "WHERE are the vegetables? Oh, hiding under this pound of white sauce!" But, they all grew up eating and enjoying that type of food, so they were used to it.

Alfredo sauce gives me the creeps! I've had the BEST and I still don't care for it. Too dang thick, and then to pour it over noodles!?!? Not for me, sorry.

Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and jalapenos. Thin crust, light sauce, lot of cheese.

So many people love jalapeno's on pizza! I will add them occasionally, but mostly I only like them as a topping for nachos.
