Whitney Houston has died!

Her addictions and trouble really started with Bobby Brown, however, she is an adult and she controls her own life. But the pressure of stardom is not something everyone can handle. She just spiraled down and never could get back on track. Yes, she will be missed

It is really sad. I was shocked when I first heard it, then after thinking about the drugs and all, the shock wore off pretty fast. Way too young to die to say the least! God bless her children. I will say a prayer for them.

I am truly shocked. I've always felt a kinship with Whitney. We are close in age, my Mom was a gospel singer and I was lead singer in our gospel group. Very much like her, I had a five octave range and loved to hit the high notes with her, singing along at the top of my lungs. Loved her music. A very shocking and sad day.

I was in the checkout line at the grocery store yesterday and one of the "tabloids" had a comment on the cover that said "very troubling pictures of Whitney". I didn't look at the pictures -- wish I had. I did read on Friday that she was "acting erratic" at some press meeting in LA. The short article said she had clothes on that were mismatched and her hair was messed up. It also said she was reportedly doing handstands out by the pool. YIKES! I think she just has the one child, a girl named Bobbi (after her father). I would imagine she's in her late teens now -- or VERY early 20's. We've sure lost some great singing talent in the last couple of years -- and way, way before they should have died. (Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and now Whitney)

Bobbie, the daughter is 18 and she was hospitalized today. No word on why.

As if it weren't sad enough already.

I heard on the news that she was suffering from anxiety attacks. Plus I heard reported that she and her mother had a "disagreement" of some kind earlier in the day that Whitney died. I hope that's just a rumor -- if it really did happen I'm sure the poor girl will have a lot of guilt because of it.

She was found by her bodyguard drowned in her bath tub. NO cause as of yet, but tons of depression, sleep pills, xanax etc all around the room. And she had been drinking. They think an accidental or perhaps deliberate overdose. But that will take time to determine. No cocaine present. She looked terrible the last few weeks.

I stand corrected, she only had one child! And she is 18, I also heard she was rushed to the hospital for a breakdown. It's still so strange to believe she is gone. So young, too young!

Addicts court death every single day they use.

I'm sure this is a terrible tragedy for her family, but I'm no more surprised that Whitney died "unexpectedly" than I was when Amy Winehouse or Michael Jackson did. The surprising thing is that they lived as long as they did, given their addictions.

Granted, Whitney was on the road to greatness and had terrific pipes....25 years ago. She's pretty much been a hot mess since then.

Besides the appalling waste of god-given talent and beauty, the truly sad thing is that it appears her only daughter is following in her mom's footsteps and using substances herself.

I don't condemn anyone who is addicted to prescription drugs. I condemn the "doctors" who prescribe them. They are the true culprits.
