Seriously broke, 6-7 bones, still reviewing the Xrays, some may be surface breaks / hairline fractures. Need further exam and xray. Also tore pretty much everything that could be torn ...
May need surgery, will determine after 1 week
He was shocked I could even walk
Guess I am used to it after a repeat performance 7 years ago with right ankle. High tolerance to pain he said is an understatement. Oh well, been there gone through it. I don't really feel it.
Now, Have a soft walking cast, need to wear, TOLD to NOT walk ... Right? Well, he said as little as possible. The small amount I am doing, really won't hurt at this point., but NO lifting anything while walking
I don't work on a 9-5 schedule, so sort of difficult to find people to help out. Most people close by are in bed by 9 and I'm having dinner ... Oh well, I guess I will do the best I can.,
So, that's the update ... more later, we will see. Right now a walking type of cast, but I have crutches, still doing as much as possible without walking; but if you live alone; anyone knows ... things to do places to go and life doesn't have a schedule so ... it is really hard to get help.
Basically, frustrated, pissed, angry, and just don't know what to do next. I cook for 3 ladies, my job. Also I work a normal job, and I do consulting ... so, how to do all that and keep a house running when on crutches.
YIKES!!!!!!!
This is a general post I wrote, so sorry if not specific to this thread, but it was easier than writing it over and over.

Seriously. We all know you are an independent and strong woman but you can't continue that way if you damage your body. Take care of you! Get well!! We are thinking of you.

So, no harm done. Nothing would be different if I went day 1 or now. They can map all the breaks with dates according to the degree of whiteness on the xray and ... NOPE, What I did I did that night. Nothing I have done since has changed that.
So don't be mad and me, because I didn't do anything that hurt or caused more damage to my ankle at all. What happened happened. They basically told me I can walk on it all I want and it won't hurt it, so ... what I did I did. Now, it just hurts to walk on it is all.

Thx, I'm taking care of it. I didn't do any harm to it waiting, so it will get fixed up and back to one piece again. I'm actually very good at taking care of myself, just don't like docs. But yes, they will fix it yup and no harm was done waiting. I did consult a few friends who were in the med field.LuvToEatAtRecipezazz wrote:Kim,
