Re: ~ Click to Feed the Animals ~
A cool feels like two early this morning but seems a warming trend is about to happen. Yesterday saw it warmer which allowed me to get the third weed and hoe in front yard, I am sure every seed that fell under that sixty foot front yard evergreen is sprouting! Thankfully as you do I got her done.
Often go with the family fav Cheese cake for dessert, this morning saw me make a Banana Cream Pie for lunch with my youngest brother and sis in law who are bring out tomato, pepper and an assortment of plantings from his green house. Both dedicated gardeners there will be garden time! Looking forward to her awesome Chicken Curry, will be making both Basmatic and Jerra Rice using Jasmin Rice.
Found this one made for my laugh of the day as that is how I almost felt as I made it in from the heavy duty garden day last night still facing the weekend household clean and prep ...

Bright and sunny and feels much warmer, hopefully a promising day. Had an awesome day yesterday with more gardening happening than I expected. The Chicken Curry was awesome, the Banana Cream Pie went over very well. Have a container of muffins from sis in law, will enjoy when I have my coffee break this morning.

A cold start to the gardening year with June approaching so much accomplished but beginning to feel overwhelmed. Found the cold drizzly rain did very little in the way of moisture.
I put out oranges and added some ball feeders, strangely see very few birds this spring. Know the grackles steal the eggs but this spring saw them chasing the little birds away. Had to be fifteen or more, discouraged then with a toy cap gun now about four. Likely why I see more bird activity this morning.
Have a great week.

Once again a chilly morning but we should see to warming. It's amazing to still find many surprises in the garden, yesterday one being a couple of 6 inch volunteer peas, a new to me purple that is so perfect for summer vegetable trays. Will be trying some fall seeding this year!
Hope everyone is having a great start to the week.

Awesome quotes Gerry!

Been clicking but no time to post regularly as work starts very early here and stops just before dinner. Hope this settles down a wee bit really soon!
All guests must be approved by the dog/cat!

Again the weather here has most of us running behind, got far too much sun yesterday which had me promise to get to the garden super early this morning and do the sensible thing like indoor activities if the heat gets intense. Off to the great outdoors and hopefully follow my own advice.

"When things feel overwhelming remember one thought at a time, one task at a time, one day at a time"
Today started with a quote one that I am familiar with and so like this past week has been. Yesterday come noon we were hit by a wall of smoke from both Alberta and northern Saskatchewan unlike anything I have ever seen. Initially thought major 'prairie' fire on the edge of town.
Seeing the heavy smoke from the west a call from dd had me realize the same from the north. Being the latest I have ever been getting my garden planted along with many others have to hope the air clears meanwhile overwhelmed or not one cannot be out breathing in the toxic air.
This morning as the sun came up saw it as an orange ball through a heavy haze. No wind as of yet which will likely determine how today goes. Thinking to those close to the fires my heart goes out to those poor people, the animals and the utter devastation. A state of emergency has been declared for Saskatchewan. Heading downstairs to put in a new furnace filter as has been suggested along with closed windows as one has to breathe!
Re: ~ Click to Feed the Animals ~

OMW Gerry!!! Wild fires are frightening! So happy to hear that you have changed the furnace filters and are staying in!!!! Great plan!!! I feel guilty that we are getting rain this morning. Hope your breathing will be easy today!

Off to town this morning. Can you imagine this...I had to make an appointment at the shoe repair shop!!!!???? Need to be there at 11am. Then on to the shopping, and visiting friends (shut ins). Taking DH and Chico with.
