We removed 'RIP' from usernames. Most of them had very heartfelt notes in their bio already. It's amazing to feel how the community connects.

I agree with Bea, putting a note in their bio is a good idea. :)

We recently updated the color of the stars on recipe ratings from green to yellow. They are also more accurate: a recipe with 4.5 rating actually shows 4.5, rather than 4 (which is what it used to show).

All thoughts and comments are welcome. Please let us know what you think. :)

Planned Change:
We're considering removing the RIP from people's usernames and putting a note in their biography instead. We want to remember those members and their memory is and will be honoured. At the same time, we don't want people looking through the recipes to get the sense that they're visiting a cemetery that they didn't intend to stumble into.

Does anyone have any ideas on a better way to implement this?
Be sneaky.
"So and so" IS from (location)
or "So and so" WAS from (location) and posted recipes from (join date)-(last post) and had contributed many loved recipes tot he site. (etcetera, etcetera).

No need to mention they passed away. Most people can figure it out. IYKWIM.

We are looking at improving the images on recipe pages. Would like your feedback on the following topics:

- Should we increase, decrease or keep the same size for the main recipe image?

- Clicking on an image for the recipe, opens a new page with all the images for that recipe. Is this something you like? Or would you prefer to see the images directly on the recipe page without navigating away from it?

- Would you like to be able to pin recipes from the main recipe page directly?

- There is an add photo button on the recipe page (the icon with the camera) that helps anyone add a photo to a recipe. Do you use this button? Do you like the way it works?

- Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions about recipe images?

Please let us know what you think!

I had a hard time finding that add photo button the other day. It's fine where it is but would also like it to be on the review page.
