I'm so sorry to hear about your surgery and arthritis. I'm hope after it is done ... it will be less pain; and much more comfortable for you.
Deeley, I hope you get your landscaping done and worked out. Nothing more frustrating.

FYI, AUS is on my bucket list as well!

Me, not much here. SOS basically. It's been mid to high 80's PAR for FL. Otherwise, a bit rainy not and then, dry weeks; crazy.

Just been busy was so furniture refinishing, gardening; my tomatoes and veggies are coming in right now.
Working; but, looking for a more full time job - regular hours vs midnights.

Otherwise, just work; stuff around the house, sos.
Am planning a trip to TN in the Fall; and, then CO in Dec for some skiing and seeing a friend. That's about it.

Weather held fine Bergy! I took the meat inside to rest before putting in fridge to cool to make it easier to slice and went out side to clean up my mess around the smoker... came back in 20 min. later and the wife had it sliced and in sandwiches in the broiler, so no pics! I will post the recipe latter this week.

6.15am here on the 28th and feeling shagged (getting over head cold) up for the DS to be picked up for work and then will crawl back into bed for an hour and up for the DM to get her breakfasted before the lady comes to shower her and then I have to pack her case as she goes into care for just over 6 weeks so the DH and I can have a holiday (10 days) and then it is spinal surgery for me with a full recovery time of 2 to 8 weeks, the initial recovery will be 1 to 2 weeks before going home, hopefully the surgery should deal with my pain issues so at best I will be pain free if all goes well. Other than that I have a heap of washing that needs to be folded and put away but trying to take it easy so as to recover from this head cold otherwise if surgery has to be delayed because of it, it will not take place till early next year.

Hi Bergy and Shadows, What the heck have you guys been up to?
The rain has finally quit here, the sun has been out and the pool is swimmable. :) We fired our third landscaper and decided to just do the work ourselves. It does take us longer due to our age, but we've got the place looking a lot better than they did. 8-) I thought I'd share a couple of before and after photos.

I love reading out back on the patio, what are you reading?

Hey Pat, I haven't forgotten your surgery on the 16th.

Looks Good Deely!
I have just finished "Mistaken Identity" by Lisa Scottoline. This is a first read by this author but I sure will be looking up some more of hers.
