What's The Protocol For "Alike" Recipes Posted

Say you post a recipe for pizza and someone posts the same recipe, but with different toppings. Is that a new recipe?
The story...I posted a recipe and Sunday I edited but it didn't take, I thought no problem (we're doing beta, right) I'll come back to it. In the mean time someone posts almost the same recipe. Z-mailed her and she says they're not even close...My first bad vibe. :(
Got another Z-mail and we're okay. Letting it go. :D

I agree with Bea--if they're not the same, they're different. (Boy, that was the profound comment of the millennium, wasn't it! ) People will want to see both of them. I don't think it takes away from either to have them both posted.

Is there a procedure to rule out duplicate recipes? At another site, we had to check through the type of recipe we were going to post, and after thorough checking, we were then to go ahead and post the recipe.
