Absolutely awesome on the weightloss! Very happy you were able to do it. Vegan diet? Doubt I would last, but I am very proud of you for sticking with it!

Congratulations Carol; it sounds like your weight loss quest has been a great success (& continued good luck with it!)!! 8-)

And thank you so much for posting vegan recipes! My husband and I went (almost-) vegan this past January ("almost" because we're still using up a big jar of raw honey). So I'm absolutely thrilled to see more vegan recipes on Recipezazz! :D

hi So-Cal-Gal, nice to see you here on the boards!! yep honey is not vegan lol! my choice for going that route was for health reasons, the perks are amazing, so many great changes to your body (all good) I sure hope to keep it up... let me know if you do go Vegan, I am interested to know how you are doing, I have lots of vegan recipes, I only need to find the time to post them..
take care and stop by again!

Oh, thank you--it's always nice to be here! :D I think health reasons is a great reason to eat a vegan diet, and I'm so glad it's working well for you; that's why we changed too. We've been almost vegan since January (not just in January--sorry about the clumsy wording  ). My husband has been able to stop taking a medication he previously needed, and I've noticed that a lot of the aches and pains I thought were just a part of getting older have up and disappeared! 8-)

You know, any vegan recipes you post will definitely be appreciated; I'm pretty sure there are other vegan Recipezazz members (as well as non-vegan R/Z members) who would enjoy them too! :D

I am not even vegetarian but I cook 2 fresh veggies every night for dinner so I am always on the look out for any vegetable recipe - the healthier the better! Bring on the Vegan/Vegetarian recipes

We make a vegan popcorn at work. Well we make several but I like the butter flavored. It's pretty good. But I bet Kitten isn't allowed that to snack on, if her diet is strict. The bag says Earth Balance Vegan Butter flavored popcorn. In fact we just made like 1200 cases of this yesterday! ;)
