What are you planning to bake? Next week I plan to make sourdough rye bread . . . haven't settled on a recipe yet but did get my rye starter going again!

I am thinking of making bagels soon. Also sweet potato dinner rolls. Maybe breadsticks. Nothing definite just yet.

I make bread of some kind all year long. :D However, I am getting ready to make "much" bread so I can get it cubed for the dressing for Thanksgiving. I made pumpkin bread a couple of weeks ago so the hub could take a slice in his lunch each day.

PRETZEL ROLLS . . . YES! I want to make some pretzel sandwich rolls! Just mixed up some rye sourdough starter to ferment . . . plan to make pumpernickel bread tomorrow. Have all this special flour that I ordered from King Arthur . . . got to get busy and use it!

Elsie . . . I too bake all summer long (even though it's 100+ degrees outside)! Did cut back this summer . . . DH has been trying to drop a few pounds! Did try more whole grain breads, but unfortunately it's not going over so well with him. He's a white bread boy!!!

Lol, I know what you mean. I can't get my DH to eat any other bread except white bread either. Well....he will eat rye bread, and likes that, but only with certain sandwiches. I tried to sneak white whole wheat bread in on him once but he noticed something was off. Grain breads...nope! :-W Now me.... I don't think I have ever met a bread I didn't like.

:D I'm with you on that . . . LOVE all breads. DH likes rye with certain meals, sauerkraut, ruben sandwiches, etc. My favorite bread is a ciabata or foccacia!

Certainly does . . . do you use white whole wheat or regular? Are they light or a little more dense?
