I just used a recipe from BH&G cookbook. I didn't get around to making pot pies today, but did start Croissant dough for Christmas Dinner.

I'll bet you are . . . we still have our place up North, and not looking forward to going up there in the Spring. Maybe when it gets over 100 degrees down here I'll change my mind. I think you live in the same area as some old saliling friends of ours. Her name is Beth Smith . . . don't know her significant other's last name, but his name is Leonard and I think that's where they operate a 'junkyard' of sorts!

GW, I don't even like it here in the spring and I LOVE spring. If you know where Victorville and Hesperia are located, I'm 15 miles due west of Hesperia. Closer to 20 miles southwest of Victorville. The middle of flippin nowhere. I don't recognize your friend's names but there are PLENTY of "junkyards" out here. Some folks even SELL the stuff.

On a really good note, my red velvet cake turned out absolutely PERFECT yesterday. First time that has happened in the five years I've lived here. I've used that recipe since the late 70s. Always came out great until I moved up here. I've battled it ever since the move. grrrrrrrrrrrr

Guess donuts fall in this category . . . especially baked donuts. These are so easy to make, tasty too!

They look incredible!! My DH looked at them and said he's going to make some (he hasn't cooked or baked anything since the dark ages, so we'll see... )! Yum!! 8-)
