love quick breads to have in the freezer, and am doing a recipebook too, I'll be looking here for recipes to add to my collection
This made up beautifully, it's a wow not a crumb left over! Will be making another soon - one I can't wait to serve to my family and friends.

Have your Biscuit recipe printed GW , looking forward to giving them a go. After going over the instructions a couple of times I decided they aren't all that difficult to make! And I'm betting they are going to impress! :D

Wow, headed out of town for a couple days, but will definitely have to try the bread when I get back. I think the key to the biscuits is to shred the butter and not work it so much that it melts. . . they will melt in your mouth.

Mmmm that cranberry bread looks yummy. I think I might bake some banana bread this morning. I always seem to have some turning black on the counter and a whole bag of them frozen. I bake a lot of banana bread and my daughter likes to eat bananas for lunch or breakfast, so I always seem to buy them. For some reason though, even if I buy less of them, we are always swimming in extras. I guess because they go bad faster than we can eat them, but I can't run to the store every day just for bananas.

My mom has banana trees in her garden - I wish I lived close enough to just go pick some from her garden.

I know what you mean about the bananas, I freeze them for smoothies, have also used the frozen bananas (after thawing) to make banana muffin tops! It's one of DH's favorites! Does anyone else have ideas of how to use them up?

I'm thinking about moving this thread over to the Baker's Cafe . . . what does everyone think? Carol will give us our own thread if we have enough interest, just trying to make it easy for everyone to find.
