Pancakes & Waffles

Post by Galley_Wench » Sat Dec 03, 2011 10:00 am

Anyone have a great recipe they want to share? I have three waffle recipes I need to get posted (one is for a dessert waffle . . . Chocolate Sourdough (YUM)! Right now I just have the old standby . . . this one spoiled me on mixes, just can't stand the taste now!

Printed your pancake recipe - looks good. Perfect for the two of us - when the teenagers come for the weekend Saturday mornings mean pancakes - that will see to doubling for sure! (may have to give these a go for a light brunch/lunch today)

If you love waffles you'll have to give this one a try, six generations and going strong! And easy - just awhile back the teenager first one up ... and yes waffles! Finding these old 'Best Ever' recipes always seem to be a winner!

Thanks Gerry I love waffles, and they're never hot enough when we go out to breakfast. These look wonderful . . . anything with buttermilk can't be bad! Don't have a waffle iron here in Tucson, but that can easily be remedied! :D

I have several waffle irons (taking the fifth on just how many - at our country home when we gathered we did big weekend brunches) The best of the lot, a round oldie - along with the recipe I got my grandma's waffle iron. Ancient for sure but the waffles -perfect! Been hinting I would love to try one of those new models for Christmas - just might be Amazon here I come and be sure it's under the tree Christmas morning!

Made the pancakes, they are really good! Know those teenagers are going to love them!

Been checking that one out too! What's the price at Costco down your way? Will have to make a stop at Costco next time I'm in the city.

Hi Galley - I just might get to Costco early this week, suspect if that Waring is there, I'm betting it will jump right into my cart too!

Thinking you just might want to give http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/grandm ... er-waffles a try. I serve with an assortment of toppings, when family gathers the favourite is strawberries and whipped cream.

Your http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/pancakes-two have seen to repeats - gets thumbs up at our house. We really love them topped with Canadian Maple syrup - awesome! :D

Thanks Gerry . . . we have guest coming for the weekend, perfect time to try out the waffle maker! Love HOT & crispy waffles . . . which seems to be harder and harder to get at restaurants, so will have to just make my own!
