
Hmm, I think you are right Derf, it is similar in many aspects from what I am reading here, but I find the taste is quite different *shrugs*

Thanks Bergy, I haven't had the nerve to keep it that long, although with all the alcohol in there I can see why it gets better with age. I love your mum's Christmas cake tradition, so wonderful!
Derf, big hugs and although you won't be having your usual Christmas I still hope you have a great holiday season. I'll be re-decorating my wreath and putting it up later so I'll try to get a good photo of that but I do have something I can share now.
I bought a crystal glass gift box candy jar to use as a centerpiece for our glass table and I filled it with Cadbury truffles. I couldn't resist trying the truffles when I saw it. Surprisingly the milk chocolate filled ones aren't my favourite but the almond ones are! The other variety included in the package is hazelnut praline which interestingly enough I thought would be my favourite over the almond but nope.



Also, I bought a stocking this year - cause I never had one I always put up real socks on Christmas Eve haha
