Thanks everyone. Elsie, since you sound like you like cookies n' cream as much as I do, then I am sure you'll love it!

Bergy I could see myself just digging into those ribs on V-day or any other day for that matter, yum!

Bergy wrote:Now myself what I would serve would be a series of appetizeers along with a lovely bottle of wine or his favoite beverage - If it is beer I would get some very special beer like "Trois Pistoles" I will put together some ideas for the types of appetizers that I think would go over well.
I even have a recipe (from the latest Bon Appetit) that would be perfect if he or if you LOVE sea food and the other one hates it - You will be surprised when I make it and post the recipe!
I love small bites to. Small skewers of lobster, shrimp, steak, appies, dips. All light dishes which make it fun to nosh on. That would be my favorite. Maybe a small cup of soup to start, nibbles, then a small dinner, but made open plate style to just "munch" on. Good wine, a dessert drink ... That all sounds something I would enjoy. I really wouldn't want to go out, or make a heavy dinner. NOT sexy or romantic to me. A weekend to me, sorry, but money can be spent in better ways in my opinion. Get me a simple bouquet of flowers (nothing expensive) my fave, daisies. A good bottle of wine; a night away at a small bed and breakfast or even camping or away at a log cabin. Again, NOT fancy for me. Keep it simple, casual, and easy.

That for me is what I would want.

If your special one likes olives serve this as a little extrawith your meal or as an appetizer
You will be surprised how this enhances the flavor of the olives
