Re: Pre-Summer Grill Fest
When a hurricane hit close to our area and we lost power for an extended period of time, the grill was our source of cooking for almost 4 days. NO power.
Mac and cheese, rice dishes, braised meat, pork chops in beer, stuffed tomatoes, stuffed zucchini or eggplant. eggs, omelettes, pizza, sandwiches, quesadillas, oatmeal too, etc. Basically endless options. Stuffed bread, blueberry tarts, grilled fruit for dessert.
So my point is ... just don't think steak, corn on the cob or BBQ chicken.

Tuna is a nice sturdy fish which holds up really well on the grill (inside or out)

There is so much you can do. If I am grilling - say steaks, but I want pan fried potatoes; I just put my cast iron right on the grill, and I love those baskets for vegetables too. Cost effective too and healthier, what is not to loveQueenBea wrote:KC, that is great advice. I totally agree ;)

But I have to confess I did it in the oven. The reason I am posting it here is to show how versatile many BBQ recipes are and vice versa. Many "oven" recipes lend themselves so easily to grilling. Hope I didn't hi-jack your event Bea
